I began my career as a graphic designer, and visual design will always be a primary tool in my toolkit. Artwork exhibitions are experiential, and exhibition catalogs aim to re-create the mood and power of the exhibition. This is possible by reigniting emotions experienced on a previous visit, or by creating an original experience for visitors who are not able to visit in person. Exhibition essays offer new insights, deepening the self-directed learning cycle. As with installation artwork, the exhibition catalog is more than the sum of its parts.
There is no substitution to a publication held in your hands, but digital publishing offers a world of possibilities beyond print, sending the exhibition experience to a global audience and encouraging conversations that go beyond the gallery walls.
As a gift to the community, Bullseye Projects is offering free access to many publications that I designed, dating back to 2004.
